Most recently Simon has advised on the aspects of the nuclear sector LLW and RWM contracting structures and related corporate and commercial matters. He has advised extensively at tier 2 level over the past year on onshore and offshore wind projects across different European jurisdictions.
As part of the CTL team Simon is advising clients from multiple non-UK jurisdictions as well as UK based clients.
Simon has drafted suites of commercial agreements for an energy services company including Collaboration Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, Teaming Agreements and Non- Disclosure Agreements. More recently Simon has been involved in delivering structural and commercial support across a number of areas in the offshore wind and offshore oil and gas sectors.
His deep experience in the nuclear sector allows him to bring the understanding and knowledge of the regulations applying across waste management, storage, site licensing and consenting through to commercial aspects of nuclear new build.
Before joining Castletown Simon was part of the legal team at Horizon Nuclear Power for its nuclear new build project and was previously a Partner with a major international law practice supporting energy projects. Simon previously operated as General Counsel and Company Secretary for an international energy services company which managed the magnox fleet in the UK and has many years of experience in commercial, corporate governance, regulatory, legal and risk compliance, environmental and energy law.
